Hello, and welcome to my efolio!

My name is Rebecca Keezel Sullivan, and I am a 25 year old from Central Virginia, currently residing in Kivalina, Alaska. I highly enjoy meeting new people and learning about new things. In my free time, I'm usually listening to music, reading, or practicing my photography. I love to travel, learn about culture, and explore! These hobbies, practices, and loving support from a great family put me on an educational track toward becoming a teacher. I received an Associates Degree from Richard Bland: The Junior College of William and Mary in 2010. After completing my Associates, I transferred into The College of William and Mary and received a Bachelors of Arts Degree with a History Major in the spring of 2012. Finally, I graduated from the Secondary Social Studies 5 Year Masters of Education Program at the College of William and Mary's School of Education. Looking forward to teach any subject or grade level!

Currently, I am working through my second year of teaching in a small rural school in the Alaskan Village of Kivalina. I have a teaching certificate valid in the state of Virginia, as well as an Initial Out-Of-State certificate in the state of Alaska. By the end of the 2015-2016 school year, I should receive my official In-State Professional Certificate. My teaching endorsements are for Social Studies content for grades 6 through 12. Thus far, I have taught Geography, Alaska History, US History, Inupiaq Studies, and US Government. I am also the school's Secondary Physical Education and Career Trainer Education Teacher.

While our student population is small, I have had an opportunity to interact with many different students including those at labeled at risk, disabled, gifted, Limited English Proficient, and those without "labels". I have also had the wonderful experience of getting to know and work with a small village community - the parents, elders, and everyone in between.

This efolio's purpose is to create an organized and easily accessible preview of my teaching capabilities, enthusiasm, and individual personality.
